Peace & Plenty

P7P

'Captivating, melodic, intimate, majestic, heartfelt, thought-provoking' are just some of the adjectives used to describe Peace & Plenty.

Whether its quirky folk, acoustic ballads, indie soul, or electric workouts, Peace & Plenty have got it all. However, there are two constants with this shape-shifting duo: quality songwriting and captivating performances.

Emerging from the ashes of alt. electric troubadours 'Endangered Species' in the late 2001, Craig Shoesmith (bass, acoustic guitar, strings, vocals) and Glenn Farley (acoustic guitar, percussion, vocals) have followed the path of independent music together, appearing everywhere from folk festivals to tropical resorts to acoustic venues

Peace & Plenty have to date released two full length CD's, recorded and produced at their home studio in the Whitsundays, Queensland.

'No Worries', released in 2004 was packed with beat pop, folk rock, acoustic introspection, and electric freakouts. Opening track 'Smile' with it's keen sense of humour and personal observation quickly became a crowd favourite and was subsequently included in the Wintermoon Festival DVD 'Playing in the Pocket' in 2006.

2006 saw the release 'If Only'. Mastered at Sony Music, it included a more produced sound suitable for radio airplay. The inclusion of strings gave many of the songs an added richness and depth. 'If Only' reflected Craig and Glenn's natural songwriting talent and grasp of melody, addressing the human condition with mature skill and experimentation.

If you like your music with just the right mix of integrity, melody, and rhythm then Peace & Plenty are your must catch act of 2008.

Released 2 full length CD’s to date (currently recording 3rd):

No Worries (16 tracks) 2004

If Only (12 tracks) 2006
